Just like the homes we build, Meritus was founded on relationships. Founder Jeff Viney expressed a desire to start a unique kind of building company. One that not only placed the highest priority on each client’s complete satisfaction, but also looked at each new home as the beginning of a lasting relationship. As a result, in 2005 Meritus Signature Homes was formed, one of the most respected home builders in Seneca, Anderson, Greenville, Lake Keowee and the surrounding Upstate area.

Jeff Viney
President of Meritus Signature Homes, Jeff Viney works from the Anderson-based Design Center to manage general operations for the business. A Clemson business management graduate, Jeff’s construction background was developed over a 10-year span working at Lowe’s and Dallas-based Cameron-Ashley Building Products. From there, he went into the home-building business, working for Pennyworth Homes before joining D.R. Horton in 2004. Married and a father of three kids, Jeff enjoys coaching youth baseball and Clemson football weekends at Death Valley.

Tim Strickland

Tim Strickland offers Meritus clients an unusual depth of experience and technical expertise in concepting, planning and drafting the precise schematic drawings that are the backbone of every new house. Unlike many accomplished architectural designers, Tim’s greatest asset is his ability to ask smart questions and quietly listen to as you describe the perfect home. More than simply aesthetically pleasing, his work is blends a knowledge of engineering, construction, materials and space utilization in a way that optimizes the value and enjoyment you’ll get from your Meritus Signature Home. Prior to joining our team, Tim served as an architectural designer for Fluor Daniel Construction Company for six years, before launching his own construction and drafting companies. He holds a South Carolina Residential Home Builders license, as well as Gold Contractors License in South Carolina.
